Аннотация:

The article dwells on issues beset with the study of emergence of certain double variant words in the chronicles of 10^th – 13^th centuries. Proceeding from the assumption of the materials of the four historical productions of the centuries under consideration, the author of the article made an endeavor to show the differences of the authors` and translators` opinion of such works concerning the roots of words and their evolution during their usage.

Thus, a part of the authors` and translators` notes and references of such works is devoted to the historical essay of words, and their goal is to show the original and later types of such lexical elements.
