<abstract xml:lang="ru">

      <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">

The article examines individual problems of translating artistic poetic texts within the language pair “Russian – German” using various models of artificial intelligence (AI) using the example of excerpts from the novel in verse by A.S. Pushkin “Eugene Onegin”. Translations made by the artificial intelligence models GPT, Linnk AI and the famous translator of the works of the Russian poet Teodor Komisho are compared. Linguistic accuracy, poetic structure, and cultural background are proposed as the parameters to be compared. It is established that AI demonstrates quite strong capabilities in terms of linguistic accuracy of translations and weak ones in terms of artistic and cultural-historical aspects. It is concluded that a balanced approach combining AI technology with human creativity is necessary.
